Event Coverage — Bend, Oregon
Main Stage
Overview
A two-day, three-stage music festival with 8,000 attendees needed coverage that could sell next year's tickets before this year's gates closed. Two shooters roamed the grounds from gates-open to headliner, with a third camera locked on the main stage for full-set captures.
Same-day hype cuts went live each night within ninety minutes of the headliner finale; the headline recap premiered forty-eight hours after load-out. Sponsor logos were tracked into natural placements rather than bolted on in post.
The Challenge
Speed without sloppiness
Same-day edits are where festival coverage usually falls apart: rushed selects, crushed blacks, blown-out stage spots. The workflow pre-built the grade for each stage's lighting rig in advance, so night-of selects dropped into a timeline that already looked finished.
The Approach
Shoot for the cut you promised
Every roaming block had a shot list tied to the recap's story beats — arrival energy, golden-hour lull, night peak. The locked-off stage camera freed the roamers to chase crowd emotion instead of babysitting wide coverage.
