About

Elias Kestrel, DP

Twelve years ago I picked up a borrowed cinema camera for a friend's wedding and never gave that feeling back. Since then I have shot 240+ productions across four continents — weddings in the Gorge, launches in Portland, festivals in the desert, expeditions above the Arctic Circle.

Kestrel Motion Works is deliberately small: me, a tight bench of second shooters and sound recordists, and gear I know like instruments. You always know who is holding the camera — and why every shot is there.
